Firesets
Fireset control systems provide optical triggering of Capacitor Discharge Units (CDU) for the initiation of Exploding Foil (EFI) and Exploding Bridge Wire (EBW).

Fast Valves
Fast valves protect diagnostic equipment from damage due to explosive debris. A fast valve provides both a mechanical barrier and vacuum chamber protection.

Originally designed for use at the Pulsed Beam Fusion Accelerator Facilities at Sandia National Labs, Fast Valve Shutters are useful in optical, laser or other applications where a shutter is used to protect X-Ray detectors and other diagnostic equipment from damage due to explosive debris. TEAM’s Fast Valves operate pneumatically and can close within one (1) millisecond of a triggering event.

Fast Valve Controller
Used to control a Fast Valve, the Fast Valve Controller operates on a standard 120V AC circuit. The controller monitors and indicates whether the shutter is in the Armed state (Open and Charged), or Closed state (Fired and Closed). Outputs are included for testing and calibration.

Fast Shutter
High-Speed Electromagnetic Shutter Mechanism
A High-Speed Electromagnetic Shutter Mechanism protects diagnostic equipment from high-velocity blast source debris. The design consists of an 8 mm diameter aperture and an aluminum shutter blade approximately 5mm thick. An external trigger causes the shutter blade to close the aperture in 120 microseconds.

Ultra Precision Industrial Indexer
The Ultra Precision Industrial Indexers from TEAM are designed and built to cut high-density micro-slots on castles and wafers using Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (wire-EDM). Our indexers include a controller (using robust and rigid industrial components like Allen-Bradley Ultra 5000 motion controller and HMI PanelView 300 terminals), a rotary indexer and a laser displacement sensor.

The Indexer features include:

• Absolute angular positioning accuracy of ±0.001 degrees in any direction
• High speed jogging and arbitrary positioning capability
• Full set of motion commands for angular and slot positioning
• Automatic slot indexing mode through the laser displacement sensor feed back from EDM table X- or Y-motion
