R-Series Roller Cyclic Transmissions
The InfiniTran™ R-Series transmission is a highly scalable design that can scale to up to 300 hp and 300 ft-lb of input and generate up to 2000 ft-lb of output.

We have designed transmissions with very broad output speed ratio ranges that smoothly vary over reverse, neutral, forward, and overdrive speeds in a single device.

Key Characteristics:

Circular race shape simplifies manufacturing requirements compared to toroidal drives.

Lower contact force required for good traction, thus reducing material stresses and yielding improved wear characteristics.

Endemic roller-race contact force that naturally follows the output torque demands, thus reducing the requirements on supporting equipment relative to toroidal devices.

Elastohydrodynamic Lubricants ensure good traction over broad speed ratio ranges.
